Pengfei Wang received the B.S. degree in Optical Science and Technology and the M.S. degree in Optics from the Beijing Jiaotong University in Beijing, China. He is now enrolled in the doctoral program in Optical Engineering at that university. He has done research in solitons, fiber Bragg gratings, and strain monitoring. Currently he is a visiting doctoral graduate student in the Optics Laboratory at Georgia Tech.
His current research interests are in the areas of long-period fiber gratings, optical fiber characterization, and phase imaging.
Shruthi Kumara Vadivel
Shruthi Kumara Vadivel received her B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University (India) in 2014. She is currently a Master's student at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Her current research interests include multi-beam interference lithography, optoelectronics and photonic crystals.
Yijun Bao was awarded the Grand Prize in the 2012 China Undergraduate Physics Tournament. He received his B.S. in physics from Peking University in 2014. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the Georgia Institute of Technology under the advisement of Dr. Thomas K. Gaylord.
His current research interests include quantitative phase imaging for fiber optic and biomedical applications and optoelectronics.
Congshan received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013 and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2014. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the Georgia Institute of Technology supervised by Dr. Thomas K. Gaylord and Dr Muhannad S. Bakir.
Her current research interests include optical interconnects and diffractive grating couplers.
