Nishanth was born on March 9, 1985 in India. He did his schooling in Air Force Bal Bharati Public School, New Delhi.
He was actively involved in many science projects and was a state level Tennis player. He did his undergrad in ECE from Jeppiaar Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai and was a rank holder in his college.
Also he participated in many projects and competitions in various colleges and won prizes. He secured internships in prestigious institutes like DRDO (India), TCIL etc. Nishanth worked in an IT company WIPRO Technologies as a project engineer for 2 years,
where he worked on Java/C/C++ projects. Nishanth scored a 1470 on his GRE and secured admission in Georgia Tech. He joined Georgia Tech in August 2009 as a MS student. He has worked since then in NRL on interconnects and noise reduction,
Computational Electronics and Photonics Group under Dr Douglas Yoder for gain improvement and noise reduction of HBTs and also as a summer intern in DAAN groups where he developed a patent product for the company. He has taken part in many academic competitions. He was part of a team which secured first prize in a mechatronics competition for his unmanned ground vehicle (Morpheus), where teams from around the US participated. He was also a semi-finalist at GTRIC 2012 for developing an e-book reader for the visually impaired. He joined the IMEMS group in the Fall of 2011 and since then has been actively involved in the design and fabrication of Gyroscopes.
